Seconds Finally Get Started

So fourth time lucky! Tuesday night saw the second Xi complete the first innings of their Semi-final v Todmorden.
But the way it started it looked like it could all be over on the night. Batting first Rammy struggled to 58-5 with
half the overs gone.  But superb knocks by Matty Lees 29 and Michael Howarth 27 not out, and with a little help
from Tods bowlers with 32 wides and 4 no balls they managed to pull it around to a respectable 159-9 at close.
Over to you Mr Bowler! Play will resume 6:15pm Wednesday night at Acre Bottom.

Ramsbottom pro Shane Harwood hit a superb knock of 62, in a 4th wicket stand of 107 with Phil Hayes who top
scored with 84. But it came at a big cost! An hamstring injury while batting prevented Shane from bowling more

Rizwan Stars Again, With Help From Matty Lees

Rizwan Shahid was once again man of the match for the seconds, but this time he just couldn't see his side home.
With East Lancs batting first Rammy restricted them to 145 all out, Rizwan Shahid 3-46, Ross Brown 3-36 & Matty
Lees 2-19. The Ramsbottom reply to quote Andy Dalby was "woeful" Only Rizwan Shahid with 38 and Matty Lees
29 not out put up any resistance as they fell 16 runs short.
