A massive win for the thirds at Acre Bottom.
Rammy got off to a flying start with a Tom Parton century (123) in a first
wicket stand of 161 with Jackson Garner (43). Sam Price (41) & Michael
"Texas" Howarth 22 not out in a impressive total of 282-6. It was then the
turn of Jordan Shannon to blunt the visitors reply with 6-28 as East Lancs
were bowled out for 136 to secure an excellent win for Rammy,
Sat 12th June: Experienced Enfield Punish Rammy
League: Ramsbottom 220-6 v Accrington 222-2 (lost by 8 wkts)
Tom Parton's 119 not out was all in vain with
the Enfield pair of Cook & Ullah both scoring 80's to see Enfield home with
12 overs to spare.
Sun 23rd May: Solid performance reaps reward
League: Ramsbottom 174-6 v Accrington 173-7 (won by 4 wkts)
Some solid bowling by the Ramsbottom attack
restricted Accrington to 173-7 from there 46 overs. In reply Sam Price (41),
Tom Parton (29) & Andy Whittle 30 not out secured the win.
Sat 15th May: Rocky Set Packing
League: Ramsbottom 168 v Rawtenstall 149 (won by 19 runs)
A solid start with Tom Parton (52) helped
Rammy to 54 without loss. But wickets then started to tumble, but good
knocks from Jackson Garner (28), Jonny Lees (28) & Andy Whittle (22) made
sure the bowlers had something to defend, Rammy 168 all out. And defend it
they did. Jonny Lees 3-28, Jordan Shannon 3-24 & Andy Whittle 2-9 made sure
that we got our season up and running, bowling Rawtenstall out for 149.
Mon 3rd May : Bentgate defeat Always Hurts
League: Haslingden 185-8 v Ramsbottom 184 (lost by 2 wkts)
On
a day that had the players on and off the field due to showers, the
disruptions didn't help Rammy's cause. Batting first Rammy were dismissed
for 184. Jackson Garner (33) & Jordan Shannon (53) the main run scorers.
Charlie Hamilton 3-34 & Andy Whittle 2-39 stood out in Rammy's bowling and
Tom Parton behind the sticks with 5 victims but all to no avail has
Haslingden managed there target with 2 wickets to spare.
